Barcelona produced a stunning attacking display to thrash Girona 4-1 in their La Liga opener on Saturday.
Ousmane Dembele gave the visitors an early lead, which Girona cancelled out through a Samu Saiz penalty. But Barcelona blew their opponents away with three goals in a devastating 15-minute spell before half-time, with Pedri, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha all on target. It was a dominant performance from Barcelona, who controlled possession and created a host of chances. Girona had their moments, but they were unable to make the most of them.
