Dodgers Sign Teoscar Hernández to One-Year Deal

Slugging Outfielder Joins Star-Studded Lineup

The Los Angeles Dodgers have finalized a one-year, $23.5 million contract with outfielder Teoscar Hernández, the latest addition to their already formidable lineup. The deal, which was reported by several media outlets on Friday, includes $8.5 million deferred.

Hernández, a 31-year-old Dominican Republic native, spent the past three seasons with the Seattle Mariners, where he emerged as a consistent power bat. In 2022, he hit .254 with 25 home runs and 84 RBIs in 152 games.

The Dodgers are hoping Hernández can provide a boost to their offense, which ranked eighth in the National League in runs scored last season. He is expected to play right field and bat in the middle of the order alongside other stars such as Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Will Smith.
